My name is Evie Hensser and I am recent Textile Design Graduate from Nottingham Trent University.

My influence for the collection 'The Saturday Club' stemmed from the Bloomsbury group, particularly Charleston House, and aims and embody Traditional English Design with nods to Charleston's eccentricity and heavy adornment. Through a blend of compositions, my collection embraces both conventional and contemporised aesthetics inspired by the spirt of the Bloomsbury Group's 'Friday Club'. This collection captures a sense of sharing and community, with an appreciation for decorative design.Throughout my course I have attained a skillset for hand woven and digital design, using my passion for bold pattern and colour to compose designs suitable for interior spaces. Through partaking in live project briefs for Ashley Wilde's KAI Brand and Paul Vogel, from which I received commendation for my design choices, and learnt valuable industry experience, enabling me to gain insight into composing strong collections for both interior and fashion markets. 

 

I look forward to developing my creative skills in Textile Design within the industry!
